Frequently Asked Questions
Are these real moments or styled shoots?
Everything you see here is real — real proposals, real elopements, real reactions. Nothing is staged or recreated. My approach is to guide just enough so the moment unfolds naturally, without forcing anything.
Will our photos look like this even if we’re not used to being in front of the camera?
Yes. Most couples you see here felt the same way. I give simple, natural direction so you’re never left wondering what to do — but it never feels posed or unnatural.
Can we choose one of these exact locations?
Absolutely. Many couples come in with a specific location from the portfolio. I’ll help you recreate a similar feel — or adjust timing and positioning so it still feels personal and not like a copy.
What if the location is crowded or the weather changes?
I always plan with that in mind. I’ll guide you on timing, backup spots, and positioning so your photos still feel intimate and intentional, no matter the conditions.
How do you stay hidden during a proposal?
I blend in — as a tourist, someone walking by, or shooting the scenery. Most partners don’t realize photos are being taken until after the proposal.
Can we do both — proposal and a short session after?
Yes, and most couples do. After the proposal, we take a few relaxed portraits so you can enjoy the moment together without it feeling like a separate photoshoot.
How far in advance should we book if we want something like this?
The best dates (especially sunset and weekends) tend to book out in advance. If you have a specific vision or location from this portfolio, it’s best to reach out as early as possible.
What does an actual elopement day like this feel like?
It’s slower, more intentional, and centered around the two of you. We build a simple timeline so you’re not rushing — you have time to be present, explore, and actually experience the day, not just move from one photo to the next.
We’ve never planned something like this — will you guide us through it?
Yes. Most couples haven’t done this before. I help with locations, timing, permits, and flow so everything feels clear and easy — without turning it into something complicated or overwhelming.
